Pen y Cymoedd (PYC)

The PYC project aims are to close the gap wherein advice provision is sparse within certain areas across PYC. PYC project covers postcode areas:

  • Rhondda Fawr – CF42 – Blaenrhondda to CF41 Pentre
  • Rhondda Fach – CF43 for both Maerdy and Ferndale
  • Cynon – Penderyn CF44 – Abercwmboi CF44 (NB: Cefnpennar comes under a CF45 but is just a small area of streets up by Mountain ash Golf Club).

Through this project, we focus on developing new connections with different organisations and venues across PYC areas to empower vulnerable clients through the provision of holistic advice.

The project’s fundamental purpose is to improve Health and Wellbeing of people, by increasing access to in person social welfare advice and support, within PYC communities.
